SALISBURY — The city of Salisbury is participating in a fair housing survey as part of an effort across the region to better understand local housing needs.
The city is asking people to fill out an online survey for CONNECT Our Future, a project led by the Centralina Council of Governments.
The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete, and responses will remain anonymous. Results will give city leaders a better understanding of housing choices for Salisbury residents.
The Centralina Council of Governments is working on a regional growth framework in hopes of increasing jobs and improving the economy and quality of life while controlling the cost of government. CONNECT Our Future is supported by a federal grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and local, in-kind public and private matching resources.
As part of that effort, CCOG is preparing a Comprehensive Regional Housing Strategy for both the CCOG region of North Carolina and the Catawba Regional COG of South Carolina.
The plan depends on the experiences and opinions of people who are knowledgeable about housing throughout the region.
