SALISBURY — Police responded to a string of shootings Thursday, with one shooting into a Salisbury resident’s home and two others into vehicles.

On Thursday morning, police responded to a call in the 1200 block of Tabernacle Street in Salisbury, where a shooting was reported that initially sounded like “firecrackers” the night before. The next morning, the resident noticed bullet holes in the living room, dryer and kitchen sink. A bullet was found in a headboard, according to Salisbury Police.

Additionally, police responded to two shootings into two vehicles. One took place at the 1100 block of North Main Street around 6:30 p.m. Another was at the intersection of Short Street and Long Street around 7 p.m., where a bullet was struck into the victim’s vehicle multiple times.

Police believe the two vehicle shootings are related. All three shootings are ongoing investigations and no one was hurt in any of the incidents, according to Salisbury Police. There are possible suspects, but none have been confirmed at this time.

In other police reports:

• Fred Gerome Miller, 57, of Salisbury was arrested on Thursday on a felony charge of weapon possession by a felon. Miller faces a $2,500 secured bond.
• Andrew Lamar Sims, 26, of Salisbury was arrested on Thursday after police served a warrant from another county. The warrant was for assault on a female and injury to personal property.

In sheriff’s reports:

• Walter Garrison Sifford, 61, of Granite Quarry was arrested on two felony counts of possessing stolen goods. It was discovered Sifford was in possession of two lawn mowers that had been reported stolen. One was from Monroe and the other was from Georgia. One lawn mower, a John Deere 950M valued at $9,599, was returned to James River Equipment in Monroe, and the other, which is a John Deere 930M valued at $8,999, is being stored as it awaits pickup to return to its Georgia location.
• Andrew Benjamin Fowler, 29, was arrested in Rockwell on misdemeanor charges of indecent exposure, open container violation, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. An officer responded to a suspicious vehicle located in the Saleeby-Fisher YMCA East Branch parking lot, where the officer allegedly saw Fowler urinating in the parking lot. An inspection of the vehicle revealed the presence of marijuana, paraphernalia and an open container. Fowler has a written promise to appear in court for the charges.
