Literary Bookpost has several events planned for Saturday, Oct. 19.
Rowan Reads Book Club for young people meets the third Saturday of each month at 11 a.m. This month will have a Halloween theme. Costumes are welcome.
Two visiting authors will encourage young people to enjoy literature as part of everyday life.
Lisa Williams Kline is a fabulous storyteller. It’s no surprise that she is a highly-acclaimed author and a recipient of the North Carolina Juvenile Literature Award for “Eleanor Hill.” Her other novels for young adults include “The Princesses of Atlantis,” “Write Before Your Eyes” and the “Sisters in All Seasons.”
Kline will be at the bookstore from 1-3 p.m., signing copies of her books.
Joining her will be Chris Woodworth, also an author of books for young people, including “Double-Click for Trouble,” “Georgie’s Moon” and “When Ratboy Lived Next Door.” “Georgie’s Moon” was named Best Book of Indiana for Children’s Literature (2007). Woodworth will also sign copies from 1-3 p.m. at the store, 110 S. Main St.
