Oscar Lee “Buddy” Walton Jr. and Billie Rae Barger Walton of Salisbury celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 6, 2013, at a dinner in Concord hosted by their children and grandchildren.
They were married Oct. 6, 1963, at Calvary Lutheran Church by the Rev. Harry L. Gruber.
Buddy retired from the Salisbury Post Circulation Department after 42 years service, and Billie is also retired.
Their children are Mary Walton Sprinkle (husband Cameron) and Alan Scott Walton (wife Kim), all of Salisbury. They have three grandchildren, Brandon Walton, Mackenzie Sprinkle and Taylor Walton.
