Rev. and Mrs. James Avery Hunt of Mooresville announce the engagement of their daughter, Elisabeth Lindsay Hunt to Philip Laban Sloop, Jr.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Roger Graham Gupton and the late Mr. and Mrs. Warren Avery Hunt. She is a 2002 graduate of Mooresville Senior High School and a 2006 graduate of Erskine College where she received a BA degree in Biology. She also studied at the Medical University of South Carolina where she received an MS degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She is presently employed as a speech-language pathologist with Lake Norman Communication Services.
The future groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Philip Laban Sloop of Mount Ulla and the grandson of Mrs. Kemper Meadows of Cochran, Ga., and the late Mary Ann and Joseph Walker Meadows and Mrs. Mary Kathryn Sloop of Mount Ulla and the late Phil Jamison Sloop. He is a 1999 graduate of West Rowan High School and a 2003 graduate of North Carolina State University where he received a BS degree in Agronomy. He is currently employed with C&H Grain, Inc.
The wedding will be held Nov. 23 at Bonclarken Chapel in Flat Rock.
