SALISBURY — Things just didn’t go well for Cameron Latrell Moody Thursday night.
Salisbury Police Officer W.S. Gibson stopped Moody’s car at the corner of Long and Innes streets for blaring loud music.
On approaching the vehicle, Gibson asked for Moody’s driver’s license and registration. Moody did not have a driver’s license.
Gibson then asked Moody why the front of his clothes were wet. Moody acknowledged to driving with an open container and spilling beer as he tried to hide it under his car seat.
Moody, 20, of the 1400 block of South Main Street, agreed to a breath test and was arrested for driving under the influence.
But he wasn’t done. Police also charged him with simple possession of marijuana, and his vehicle had a fictitious tag.
It all added up to a night in jail and being placed under $1,000 bond. His court date is Nov. 18.
