SALISBURY — Beth Lewis has followed in her grandfather’s footsteps by opening a full-service hair salon.
Lewis said she has dreamed of opening a salon since she was a little girl, when she would spend time with her grandfather Smithy “Pete” Petrea. He was a barber at Harviels Barber shop on Green Street in Salisbury for more than 40 years.

Oasis specializes in serving bridal parties, offering a free hairstyle for the bride with a party of three or more. The salon also offers a 10 percent discount on any service for active and retired duty military, police, EMT personnel and firefighters, as well as senior citizens.
Lewis said she plans community events throughout the year including fundraisers and toy and coat drives.
