Covenant Community Connection invites residents of Salisbury and Rowan County to participate in the Meet Your Neighbor series with a public forum on race relations in our community.
This event will be held on Nov. 12, at 7:30 p.m., in Tom Smith Auditorium at Catawba College.
The panel will include a diverse group of local leaders; Sheriff Kevin Auten, Phillip Burgess, director of Salisbury Ecumenical Choir, Fred Evans, retired school administrator, and Liliana Spears, local businesswoman.
The panelists will share a brief story about their experiences living in our community, followed by a time of questions and answers from the audience. The discussion will be moderated by Raymond Coltrain and Pastor Henry Diggs.
Meet Your Neighbor forums recognize that interaction and conversation among the diverse populations of our community foster deeper understanding and respect for all. Covenant Community Connection is a sub-committee of the Human Relations Council, whose mission is to create an environment of hospitality, inclusiveness, acceptance and appreciation of the diversity of all people.
