The family of Rev. Patricia “Patsy Ruth” Hunt Wilson hosted a surprise 80th birthday celebration Sept. 20 at Tower of Power Holiness Church.
A Rowan County native and graduate of Temple University, Rev. Wilson is a retired school teacher in the Philadelphia School System. She is the founder and president of Love Ministry Inc.; former chaplain for Rowan Regional Medical Center; and an associate minister at Outreach Christian Ministries, Intl.
Out-of-town guests included her sister, Mrs. Beth Jones, Washington, D.C.; and niece and nephew Mr. and Mrs. Chris Hester of Olney, Md.
She has five children: Will, Sherri, Sonya, Alex and the late Deborah. She also has eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
