History club to hear ‘Mrs. Stonewall Jackson’

SALISBURY — Nora Brooks of Concord will portray Mrs. Stonewall Jackson at tonight’s meeting of the Rowan History Club at 7 p.m..
“A Night with Mrs. Stonewall Jackson” will be held in the Messinger Room of the Rowan Museum, 202 N. Main St.
Brooks did a presentation for the club last year as Milly, youngest daughter of Robert E. Lee, and brought to life characters of American history.
A roundtable format will allow for a 30- to 45-minute presentation, followed by a question and answer period.
The Messinger Room is accessible by elevator. Use the museum’s rear entrance.
The Rowan History Club is open to all people interested in the history of Rowan County. It charges no dues or admissions fees, and refreshments are served.
