Pairings are set for the 35th annual Horace Billings Rowan County Amateur golf tournament at Corbin Hills.
The final spots were settled in a Monday playoff. Gary Miller and Brad Vinson earned the final spots in the on Monday. Friday’s times:

Randolph County beat the Mooresville Moors 7-6 in 10 innings at McCrary Park on Monday. Randolph used five pitchers and took a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series.
Randolph’s 3-4-5 men banged out 12 hits.
Michael Knight pitched well as the Moors’ starter.
Game 3 is tonight at Lake Norman High.
Kernersville beat West Rowan 10-1 on Monday to win a best-of-three Area III championship series two games to one.
Both teams will play in the state tournament.
Jason Coats homered and Kyle Hansen pitched shutout innings as the Kannapolis Intimidators beat Greensboro 4-0 on Monday at CMC-NorthEast Stadium.
East Rowan 9U all-stars won against Indian Trail on Monday and play again today.
• China Grove’s 9U all-stars lost 5-3 to Matthews. China Grove plays again today.
• Kannapolis began competition this week in the Dixie Youth state tournament at Smithville Park in Southport with a 13-3 victory in seven innings.
Dubby West pitched a strong 5 1/3 innings, striking out eight. Jacob Tuttle pitched the last 1 2/3 innings, striking out three.
Lane Argabright and Tuttle had two hits each and both scored three runs. Ryan O’Kelly had two hits.
Other team members are Matt Baucom, John Vincent, Sam Rogers, Owen Prucetti, Cam Rayfield, Robert Rayfield and Zac Stegall.
North Rowan pitcher Travis Holshouser will be on Pfeiffer’s team next season.
