Prevent Child Abuse fundraiser Saturday

Belk will be holding a fundraiser Saturday to benefit Prevent Child Abuse Rowan. Prevent Child Abuse Rowan is a program of the Terrie Hess House child advocacy center and helps out with children who have been physically or sexually abused. Prevent Child Abuse Rowan will use the money to buy supplies like toilet paper and snacks for the center. Tickets for the sale will be $5 and some of the merchandise at Belk will be on sale for 20-70 percent off. Beth Moore, a representative of Prevent Child Abuse Rowan, says that she likes the good partnership with Belk and is very thankful that Belk is holding this fundraiser. The sale will run from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9.
Prevent Child Abuse Rowan is also having a BBQ fundraiser at 2nd Presbyterian Church, 732 Lincolnton Road. Tickets are $8 and will have pre-orders going until Nov. 22. The BBQ will be dine in or take out and if 10 or more dinners are ordered they can be delivered. Tickets will be sold at the Terrie Hess House, 130 Woodson St. The fundraiser will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 3 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information about either fundraiser, contact Beth Moore at 704-639-1700.
