Cannon School students raise money for cancer research

For the second year, in the spirit of fun and competition, the Upper School at Cannon School has embraced a “house” structure based on the Harry Potter series. More than 350 Upper School students are divided into four houses: House Animus, House Impetus, House Humanitas and House Integritas. Each house takes its name from one of Cannon School’s core values: courage, passion, kindness and integrity.
On Oct. 31, the houses competed in a pentathlon of events that tested reflexes, teamwork, knowledge, design and athleticism. The second part of the day was a 1.5 mile obstacle course designed by Cannon’s Relay for Life Club. The houses raised money for the American Cancer Society through the school’s annual event, Cannon Runs for Cancer Research — also known as CR
