RALEIGH (AP) — The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission is reminding waterfowl hunters who use boats to practice boating and hunting safety.
State boating safety coordinator Maj. Chris Huebner says statistics show more waterfowl hunters die from hypothermia and drowning than gunshot wounds. Hunters should wear protective clothing, watch the weather and tell someone where you are hunting.
