Mr. and Mrs. Steve Franklin Purser of Concord are pleased to announce the engagement of Elizabeth Ann Cook, the daughter of Aubie Cook Purser and the late Randall B. Cook, to Benjamin Robert Peters, both of Raleigh.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.W. Widenhouse Jr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kenneth Cook, all of Concord; and the great-great niece of Mrs. Sallie Garvin and the late Cecil Garvin of Concord.
A 2000 graduate of Concord High School and a 2004 graduate of Peace College, Elizabeth is employed by Hub International.
The future groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Peters of Salisbury and the grandson of Mrs. Betty Wilson and the late Bill Wilson of Richfield and the late Mr. and Mrs. Bob Peters of Shippensburg, Pa. A 1998 graduate of East Rowan High School and a 2003 graduate of North Carolina State University, Benjamin is employed by Smith Turf and Irrigation.
A Nov. 2 wedding is planned at Central United Methodist Church in Concord.
