Avis Fair Wilkins Monroe recently celebrated her 103rd birthday at a luncheon given in her honor in the social hall of the historic Soldiers Memorial AME Zion Church, which was co-founded by her grandfather, Berry Davis, 150 years ago.
The celebration, which was given by her daughters Jean Little of Salisbury and Joan Pemberton and Avis Crawly of the Bronx, NY, was attended by her church family, friends and family members.
