George B. Beliveau and Patsy Holshouser Beliveau celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 9, 2013, at 6 o’clock Sunday evening at St. James Lutheran Church in Rockwell by renewing their wedding vows. Rev. Craig E. Sigmon, Pastor, and Rev. Charles McManus, Pastor Emeritus, officiated. The couple were married at St. James by Rev. Charles R. McManus Sunday, June 9, 1963. Patsy wore her wedding dress for the ceremony.
Guests were received at the reception hosted by the couple, to which Patsy wore a cocktail dress. Out-of-town family and friends from North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida attended. Best wishes came from Alabama, Maine, California, Utah, Florida, Michigan, New Jersey and Massachusetts.
George is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and retired from Delta Airlines.
Patsy is a 1963 graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne College and lifemember of Sigma Kappa Sorority. She is a retired teacher of the Broward County, Fla., School System.
