A daughter, Lauren Beckham, was born to Courtney Goodwin and Walter Almeida of Salisbury on November 26, 2013, at Carolinas Medical Center NorthEast. She weighed 6 pounds, 10 ounces. She has a brother, Will, 3. Grandparents are Tony and Margaret Almeida of Salisbury and Debbie Wood of Salisbury, and Miles and Nelle Goodwin of Garner. Great-grandparents are Arline Taylor of Black Mountain, Betty Almeida of Powder Springs, Ga., Mary Daniel of Raleigh and Geri Brown of Raleigh.
