SALISBURY — The Salisbury Post has joined the nation’s single largest jobs network in North America, TheJobNetwork powered by RealMatch, reaching more than 37 million job seekers every month.
RealMatch may sound like a dating website. Not unlike a dating site, the sophisticated software algorithms behind RealMatch similarly match job seekers and employers.
With this new partnership, employment positions posted with the Salisbury Post have more exposure than other job posting websites.
The gold standard in the market has always been Monster.com, but the Salisbury Post’s job website now outperforms Monster with help of a superior job board platform, according to Sharon Jackson, the Post’s classified advertising manager.
With just one job posting at salisburypost.com/jobs, the position is re-posted on TheJobNetwork, which consists of 600-plus additional job sites, 20-plus job aggregators and national search engines.
The Salisbury Post Classified Department now can save employers time and frustration, Jackson said. This new system is capable of sorting applications by the most qualified candidates.
By utilizing Applicant Tracking Software, an employer receives an email anytime a matched candidate applies.
The RealMatch algorithms will screen, grade and match the right employees for the job. Employers get access to job seekers who have the skills, qualifications and interests that match requirements of the job. Candidates are then ranked.
With the integration of the LinkedIn user database, an employer can automatically tap into a pool of 100 million LinkedIn profiles without the need of keywords. Once they enter their LinkedIn credentials, employers can immediately see LinkedIn profiles and resumes from their network that match the jobs posted.
RealMatch achieves better results than other job boards because of search engine management and search engine optimization campaigns, Jackson said.
Also, the Salisbury Post jobs site offers real-time optimization, not possible for employers posting directly to other websites.
The Salisbury Post Classified Department offers substantially lower fees for online ads, as well as packages that include print ads, something a regular online job posting board can’t offer, Jackson said.
The Post jobs site also helps job seekers.
Posting a resume to the site automatically matches job seekers to jobs without keyword searching. No more wading through job postings that are irrelevant, Jackson said.
The system also provides email and mobile alerts in real time when new job matches are received. Then job seekers can take advantage of the one-click application process.
Just like other national job boards, job seekers can update their resume and profile.
This new employment site makes job searching and job advertisement placement easy and cost-effective, Jackson said.
“The Salisbury Post is now a one-stop shop to search and place employment listings,” she said. “We are very proud to be able to provide this service to our customers and community.”
