Teamer new NAACP president

Scott Teamer is the new president of the Salisbury-Rowan Branch of the NAACP. He succeeds former president Dr. Bryant Norman Jr.
A resident of Salisbury and graduate of North Rowan High School, Teamer owns Elite Bonding, the NAACP said in a statement.
A military veteran, he has an associate’s degree in criminal justice and formerly worked for the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office as a deputy, the N.C. Department of Corrections and the N.C. Youth Services Division, the statement said.
He is a licensed private investigator and formerly owned Elite Security.
Teamer was installed as president at the NAACP’s Oct. 4 meeting. Norman officiated.
The NAACP meets the first Thursday of each month.
