David and Pam Abernathy and Paul and Karen Brown, all of Salisbury, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lavender Brynn, to Nicholas Dale Hunter, both of Charleston, S.C.
Brynn is the granddaughter of Bud and Novella Abernathy and Charles and Patricia Jennings, all of Salisbury. A 2004 graduate of East Rowan High School, she earned a degree in Baking and Pastry Arts from Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte in 2006. She is an Activity Assistant at White Oak Manor of Charleston.
Nick is the son of Craig and Timmie Lynn Hunter of New Madrid, Mo., and the grandson of Dale and Janice Morgan of Osceola, Ark., and the late Hal and Mary Hunter of New Madrid, Mo. A 2001 graduate of New Madrid County Central High School, he received a bachelorŐs degree in Culinary Arts and Food Service Management from Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte in 2007. He is the Executive Chef of Tomasso at Kiawah Island Golf Resort.
The wedding is March 23 at The Arbors in Cleveland.
