Walter Stephen “Steve” Overcash Sr. and Betsy Hannold Overcash of Salisbury are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today, Jan. 27, 2013. They were married Jan. 27, 1963, in York, S.C., by Mr. Ernest H. Nunn. Steve is the son of the late Leroy and Bernice Overcash, and Betsy is the daughter of the late Richard and Louise Hannold.
Steve retired in September 2006 after 30 years as CEO of Independent Linen Company of Salisbury. Betsy worked as a church secretary at Derita Baptist Church, Charlotte; at Stallings Baptist Church, Salisbury; and as a medical receptionist.
