SALISBURY — A 17-year-old Salisbury woman faces three felony charges related to fake health certificates for puppies shipped from a kennel she runs with her father.
Danielle Nicole Settineri is charged with three counts of obtaining property by false pretense. The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office said the Right Puppy Kennel on Old Union Church Road, which specializes in wolf hybrids, shipped puppies with falsified health certificates to customers.
Kevin Settineri, the father of Danielle Settineri, is listed as sales manager, founder and president of the kennel, but authorities charged the daughter because her name is on the altered documents, the Sheriff’s Office said.
When reached by the Post on Saturday, Kevin Settineri said his daughter is a minor and would not comment on the charges.
In North Carolina, criminal law defines an adult as someone 16 years and older.
