Tyler led South to three victories in the F&M Baseball Classic with his offense, defense, baserunning and pitching.

In a 6-5 win over Northwest Cabarrus, the Raider catcher threw out runners at first, second and third while making a big stretch to make a catch at home for a forceout. In an 8-7 win over Concord, he scored the winning run when he hustled all the way from second on a wild pitch. In an 11-8 win over A.L. Brown, Tyler as 3-for-4 with a single, double and triple, scoring four runs and knocking in four.

South (11-3) entered the week on a seven game winning streak.
