The Rowan Salisbury School System in conjunction with the Rowan Public Library will be sponsoring a book festival called “Books Under the Big Top” on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event will take place in the parking lot across from the Rowan Public Library and along the 200 block of W. Fisher St.
Festival-goers can meet and hear firsthand from their favorite authors, get books signed, listen to storytellers, have photos taken with storybook characters and participate in a variety of fun activities. Food vendors will also be on site.
The festival is a way for the library and school system to present the importance of literacy in a fun and engaging way to the community. It is free for all ages.
