William Van Wieren II and Alison Yandle, both of Kannapolis, announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Van Wieren, to Charlie Aldridge, son of Scott and Diana Aldridge of Salisbury.
Katherine is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Van Wieren, Kannapolis, and Mr. and Mrs. Max Lackey, Concord. A graduate of UNC-Charlotte, she is a kindergarten teacher at Forest Park Elementary School.
Charlie is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Aldridge, Salisbury, and Mr. and Mrs. C.D. Roseman, China Grove. A graduate of Catawba College, he is employed by Allied Bearing and Supply Inc.
The wedding is Oct. 12 at Omwake-Dearborn Chapel on the campus of Catawba College.
