“The Jack Tales” is playing this week at the Norvell Theater. Fifth-graders at Granite Quarry Elementary School watched the play Wednesday. Here are their reviews:

I thought this play was brilliant. Jack tale was funny. But I didn’t get why they kept changing the character why just leave Jack the way he is? My favorite one was Jack and Ol’ Greasy Beard. It showed even though his brother always messed with him they always had each other’s back. We got to see four, but you can see all six Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

If you want to watch acts were a kid named Jack is always getting in trouble?  Then you should watch these acts, “John & The Robbers,” “Jack and the The Witch’s Tale,” “Foolish Jack,” and “Jack and Ol’ Greasy Beard.”

If you want to find out who the Ol’ Greasy Beard man is and what he does then you’ll have to see this play.  This play is a great play so go see it.

In the first story, John and the Robber, John runs away from home. Along the way, he meets many sad animals that travel with him. But after a while, they get lost. They come across an empty house. That house is a robber’s house. Find out what happens in John and the Robbers!

“The Jack Tales” public performances are Friday and March 1 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday and March 2 at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors. The Norvell Theater — Piedmont Players’ venue for youth productions — is at 135 E. Fisher St.
