His Grace
His grace is unearned, undeserved, unmerited. We can not earn His grace. It is given to us freely. Us meaning everyone, no one is excluded in His gift of grace.
His grace is not only unearned, unmerited, undeserved as we have always heard. Here are some other words to describe His grace, unimaginable, unmeasurable, unlimited.
His grace is unimaginable. We can not begin to fathom the amount of grace given freely to us because of His death on the cross. He died to give us His grace. How can we imagine the cost to Him.
His grace is unlimited. There is no way to limit the amount of His grace. We can not say well, we have done this or that and so we have run out of our share of His grace. There is no way He could give me grace over what I have done. No, His grace knows no limits.
His grace is unmeasurable. There is no way to measure the degree of grace given freely to us. Us meaning everyone. There is no one who is excluded from His grace. There is no sin that does not measure up to His grace being able to cover. His grace covers all sin, not just some. There is no sin too big for His grace.
How can we have His grace. How do we know that His grace is given to us personally and freely without cost?
We accept His grace by accepting Him as God’s only Son. We accept the fact that He died on a cross for all of us for all of our sin, past, present and future. We accept the fact that it is by His blood shed on that cross that we are given His grace.
His blood is His grace. What is there, that His blood can not cleanse. Nothing. Once we realize that we are saved by His grace, His blood, and we accept Him as our Lord and Savior, then we will truly know His forgiveness has no boundaries. We will know that we are forgiven, that His grace is ours.
We can not work for this grace, we can not do anything to earn His grace, we are most definitely not deserving of His grace, but yet His grace is given freely, to each and everyone who asks with a sincere heart.
When we accept Him and His gift of grace, His gift of forgiveness, then and only then can we ourselves learn how to truly forgive others. In unforgiveness there is death. But in forgiveness there is life. Why? Because He gave His life for forgiveness for all. He gave up His life so that all could be forgiven.
If you have any quarrel with anyone, any grudge in your heart toward anyone, let it go, forgive them in the love of Christ Jesus and receive life.
Ephesians 1 verse 7 — In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace….
James 5 verse 15 — And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven…..
We do not forgive others because it is required by law but because we are blessed with His forgiveness we have a heart of forgiveness toward others. The word tells us we have a new character when we accept Christ and are forgiven. We become a new man in Christ Jesus.
There it is, we are His beloved, we are forgiven and given His tender mercies and kindness, so we are to share with others the forgiveness that has so freely been given to us and then we will walk with a song of praise and thanksgiving in our hearts and we will be at peace.
Now isn’t that the life we all want? A life of peace and joy.
Where can we find this peace, this forgiveness, this free gift of grace?
