Old Stone Winery named Best Winery of Triad

SALISBURY — Old Stone Winery, Rowan County’s oldest winery, has been selected as the Best Winery of the Triad by The Destination Guide, an online source for travel videos.
Old Stone Winery was established in 2003 as Rowan’s first commercial winery. The winery offers more than 18 wines produced from locally grown grapes. Old Stone wines have received recognition and multiple medals at the North Carolina State Wine Competition, including awards for the 2009 Syrah, 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon, Sweet Muscadine (Carlos), Wild Horse Muscadine Blush and Red Muscadine.
