J.C. Hilton and Pam Pierce Hilton celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary May 23, 2013, with a trip to the Daniel Boone Inn.
The Hiltons were married May 23, 1943, at the Pleasant Grove Methodist Church parsonage in Thomasville by the Rev. C.E. Ridge, who pronounced them man and wife at 1 p.m.
The couple moved to Salisbury in 1957, then to Hickory in 1961 and back to Salisbury in 1969. They have lived at their current location for 39 years.
