Ledbetter – Britschge

ROCKWELL – Kari Elizabeth Ledbetter and Michael Joseph Britschge were united in marriage Saturday, June 15, 2013, at St. James Lutheran Church. Rev. Craig Sigmon officiated the 5 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at the Historic Salisbury Depot.
The bride was escorted by her brother, Trey Ledbetter, and attended by Taren Davis, matron of honor, and Meredith Yost, maid of honor. Serving as bridesmaids were Lauren Schlossberg, sister of the groom, Cortney Ledbetter, sister-in-law of the bride, Tracey Croner, Abby Harwood, Ashley Lombard, Stephanie Pless and Kristen Trexler.
Serving as flower girls were Kinsley Ledbetter, Harper Davis and Elizabeth Schlossberg, nieces of the bride and groom.
Thomas Britschge II stood as his son’s best man. Groomsmen included Eric Britschge, brother of the groom, Trey Ledbetter, brother of the bride, Josh Beck, Adam Bergstrom, Brandon Golden, Gus Muell, Ryan Schultz and Austin Shaw. Serving as ushers were Brian Honeycutt, Zack Kesler, Michael Lefko, Eric Taylor and Collins Weber.
Andrea Earnhardt and Ashley Bostian assisted as the guest register and program attendants. Bonnie Holder served as wedding director.
Derek Talbert, Bucky Bradley and Janelle Patterson performed vocals during the ceremony. Tina Brown served as the organist.
The bride is the daughter of Lisa Poole Ledbetter and the late James Murphy Ledbetter Jr. of Rockwell and the granddaughter of June Cooper Poole and the late Mr. and Mrs. William M. Poole and Mr. and Mrs. James M. Ledbetter Sr. An East Rowan High School graduate, Kari received her bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from East Carolina University in Greenville in 2010. She is employed by the Rowan-Salisbury School System at Erwin Middle School.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Britschge II of Harwood, Md., and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Catterton of Harwood, Md., and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Britschge of Edgewater, Md. Mike graduated from Southern High School in Harwood, Md., and received his bachelorÕs degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from East Carolina University in Greenville in 2011. He attended graduate school at North Carolina Central University in Durham, obtaining his Registered Dietitian credential in 2012. Mike is currently employed as a clinical research coordinator and Registered Dietitian with PMG-Research of Winston-Salem.
Following a trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple will make their home in Salisbury.
