William Nelson Robertson, 18, of Boy Scout Troop 349, received his Eagle Scout Award June 9, 2013, at Central United Methodist Church in Spencer. Scoutmaster Steve Miller made the presentation.
As a member of Troop 349, Will has earned 34 merit badges and served as Senior Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Quartermaster and Troop Guide. A member of Order of the Arrow, he earned the Backpacking 50-miler and completed a 78-mile backpacking trek at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico in 2010.
Salutatorian for the 2013 class of North Rowan High School, Will was a member of the football, wrestling, track and tennis teams and was a 2-time N.C. State Wrestling Champion. He is a member of the National Honor Society and Central United Methodist Church.
