Police: Man kicked open doors, threatened officer

SALISBURY — Police said a Salisbury man kicked open the front doors of two apartments and threatened to kill an officer Monday evening.
Bobby Ray Forbes, 60, was taken into custody shortly after 7 p.m. at an apartment complex on East Liberty Street.
Authorities said Forbes kicked open the doors at two adjacent apartments in a complex in the 300 block.
Officers said he was located with a large kitchen knife.
Forbes was charged with misdemeanor breaking and entering, misdemeanor injury to personal property and communicating threats.
He remained in Rowan County jail under a $1,500 bond Tuesday evening.
