A Salisbury teen arrested in September after authorities said he and a couple forged prescriptions at area pharmacies has pleaded guilty and been given probation.
Salisbury Police charged Cody Ryan Bell, 17, of 414 Heilig Ave., and two neighbors, Chad and Alyssia Honeycutt, with using prescriptions from a stolen prescription pad at three different pharmacies.
An Innes Street Drug pharmacist called the doctor listed on the prescription and was told the prescription pad had been stolen.
The Honeycutts and Bell tried to fill the prescription for 180 oxycodone, a police report said.
The three reportedly also forged prescriptions at Moose Pharmacy in Concord and Salisbury Pharmacy.
Alyssia and Chad Honeycutt have already appeared in court.
Bell appeared in probable cause court Monday where he pleaded guilty to a lesser offense of two counts possession with intent to sell and deliver a controlled substance — reduced from trafficking in opium or heroin.
The two possession convictions were consolidated. Bell was sentenced to five to six months in the N.C. Department of Correction, and that was suspended while he serves two years of supervised probation.
Charges of felony attempted trafficking in opiates by possession and felony obtaining a controlled substance by fraud/forgery were dismissed by the court.
He also pleaded guilty to two counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud/forgery. Those were consolidated. He received five to six months in the N.C. Department of Correction, a sentence that was suspended to two years of supervised probation.
Bell was also ordered by the judge to complete 24 hours of community service within 90 days; pay a $600 fine and court costs; submit to a substance abuse assessment; submit to a blood, breath and urine analysis; submit a DNA sample; be of general good behavior; successfully pass a GED exam within the first two years; not use or possess illegal controlled substances.
He is also to not have contact with Medical Associates of Davie, Wake Forest Medical Center and Solis Pharmacy.
Bell is also to not have contact with Alyssia and Chad Honeycutt.
Chad Honeycutt had a hearing in November where he pleaded guilty to and was convicted of a lesser offense of felony attempting to obtain a controlled substance by forgery/fraud.
Chad Honeycutt was given six to eight months with the N.C. Department of Correction, a sentence that was suspended to two years of supervised probation.
He was also convicted of a lesser offense of felony attempted possession with intent to sell and deliver a controlled substance.

The second sentence is to run at the expiration of the first.
Alyssia Honeycutt pleaded guilty in mid-November to a lesser offense of two counts of felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a controlled substance.
She was given a sentence of six to eight months with the N.C. Department of Correction for each charge. The sentences, which will run consecutively, were suspended to two years of supervised probation.
Alyssia Honeycutt was ordered to perform 50 hours of community service, pay $265 in court-appointed attorney fees, remain away from Salisbury Pharmacy, submit to a substance abuse assessment within 30 days, be of general good behavior, and submit to a blood, breath and urine analysis.
She was also ordered to submit to a DNA sample and not illegally possess controlled substances.
