Approximately 200 guests joined The Salisbury-Rowan Symphony Society in celebrating its 10th annual Big Band Bash on Saturday, Jan. 7. The evening began with champagne and hors d’ oeuvres in the lobby of the Hedrick Theater, followed by a concert conducted by David Hagy. The evening continued in the Crystal Lounge where guests enjoyed dinner prepared by Catawba’s own Chartwells and danced to big band music. This year’s event was co-chaired by Cliff and Barb Sorel. All proceeds will be used to help pay musicians’ fees for this season.
