CLEVELAND — A Cleveland woman walked onto her front porch Wednesday afternoon, saw the deputy standing in her driveway, and calmly walked back into the house.
When the officer approached, Casey Potter was nowhere to be found.
Deputies and Potter’s husband searched the home but couldn’t find her. The 25-year-old was wanted for failing to appear in court on a driving while license revoked charge.
Authorities searched the area around her 2230 Chenault Road home, looking as far as Morning Glory Lane and Rabbit Hollow Road.
A Cleveland Police officer found her hiding in a briar patch on Silk and Tassel Road.
She was charged with misdemeanor resisting, obstructing or delaying an officer, and failure to appear.
Potter was in jail Thursday morning under a $2,500 bond.
