It’s a big weekend for Piedmont Players Theatre. Not only does “Cyrano de Bergerac” continue this weekend but the youth production of “Honk! Jr “opens Friday at the Norvell Theater, 135 E. Fisher St.
“Honk! Jr” is the musical story of Ugly, whose ungainly looks cause him grief from his family and neighbors.
Separated from the farm and pursued by hungry Cat, Ugly must find his way home. 
Part of the journey is, of course, about Ugly discovering his true beauty and destiny — and finding love and acceptance.
“Honk! Jr” will be performed at the Norvell Feb. 17 and 24 at 7:30 p.m. and Feb. 18 and 24 at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $10 for adults, 48 for students and seniors. For groups of 20 or more, tickets are $7.
