Pedestrian transported to hospital after crash involving bus

SALISBURY — A bus driver was placed on administrative leave after a collision between a bus and a pedestrian in the downtown square of Salisbury.
The incident occurred at 2:07 p.m. at the intersection of Main and Innes streets and involved a Salisbury transit bus and a pedestrian, according to a release from the Salisbury Police Department.
The crash caused police and the Salisbury Fire Department to shut down the East Innes Street side of the intersection for close to 30 minutes while they tended to the pedestrian and evaluated the situation.
Police are investigating the crash.
