College women’s basketball: Blue Bears get first CIAA win

PHILADELPHIA — Livingstone’s women’s basketball closed a long road trip with smiles and a 55-43 win against Lincoln.
It was the first CIAA victory of the season for the Blue Bears (2-4, 1-3), and it was also the first setback for the Lions (5-4, 3-1).
Livingstone took charge with lockdown defense in the third quarter.
Livingstone shot a respectable 40,4 percent and made six 3-pointers. Lincoln shot 31 percent and went 2-for-15 on 3s.
Kaley Woodruff and Morgan Kelson scored 11 points each in Rivero Hall to lead Livingstone in its final pre-Christmas outing.
