SALISBURY — A family’s home was shot into on Christmas in what police say appears to have been a random attack.

A mother and father were at home with their children about 8 p.m. on Monday when someone began shooting at the home, according to a spokesperson for the Salisbury Police Department. No one was injured in the shooting. The home is located in the 600 block of North Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue.

One round came through the kitchen wall into the home, the spokesperson said. The exterior walls of the home were hit multiple times as well. Police then responded to the home and found spent shell casings in front of the home and on the nearby corner of East Franklin Street.

The spokesperson said that police are still investigating the incident and that suspects had not yet been identified in the case.
