SALISBURY — Police are investigating five instances of embezzlement at a Speedway in Salisbury, where a manager says that a former employee stole money from the store.

The Speedway, located at 827 W. Jake Alexander Blvd., has reported five different incidents involving a larceny by an employee beginning on Dec. 16, 2023, up until Jan. 1, according to police reports. On Monday, the manager of the store called police to report that a former employee had been stealing from the cash register, according to a Salisbury Police Department spokesperson.
