SPENCER — North Rowan’s girls basketball team is intact for the first time since Dec. 15.

Senior twins Bailee and Bloom Goodlett returned to the floor on Wednesday for an 81-44 romp against West Davidson.

With the Goodletts back, North (8-3, 3-0) will have a chance to challenge Salisbury for the Central Carolina Conference championship.

Bailee scored 27 points to raise her career total to 1,594. She passed one of her former teammates, Hannah Wilkerson, for third place on the program’s all-time scoring list.

Bailee had five assists and six steals in addition to her points.

As good and rust-free as Bailee was, underrated Dasia Elder probably had the best night of all the Cavaliers. She had five assists and came out blazing hot from long range. She racked up 14 points in the first quarter to give North the early lead. She finished with a career-best 21.

Elder is sixth in the county in scoring with 12.7 points per game, giving coach Darra Walker three of the county’s top six scorers.

Brittany Ellis, who carried a lot of the scoring load for the Cavaliers in the six games the Goodletts missed, scored 18 points and pulled down seven rebounds.

North also got seven rebounds from Zakiya Oglesby. Ten girls scored for the Cavaliers.

North plays at home against Lexington on Friday. The Green Dragons (4-11, 1-3) have a good chance to bounce back against South Davidson on Friday.
