Multiple arrests made during local FBI operations

SALISBURY — A joint operation between multiple local, state and federal law enforcement agencies on Thursday resulted in multiple arrests and drug charges.
The operation was led by the FBI and the Salisbury Police Department, the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Shelley Lynch, a public information officer for the FBI, said that documents about the operation and arrests are sealed, so information is limited. Lynch did confirm that the FBI had multiple federal search warrants for different locations in the city and that the arrests happened in several of those locations.
A release from the city of Salisbury listed the people arrested and charged locally:
Antonio Demetrius Kerns, 39, was charged with possession of a firearm, trafficking of suspected opium or heroin, maintaining a dwelling to store controlled substances and possession of up to 0.5 ounces of marijuana. Kerns was placed into custody and given a $150,000 bond.
Damion Jermaine Morrow, 45, was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, trafficking of suspected cocaine and maintaining a dwelling to store controlled substances. Morrow was placed into custody without bond.
Kenneth Thomas Carroll II, 50, was charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance. Carroll was placed into custody and given a $2,500 bond.
Marcus Jermaine McDaniel, 47, was charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance, maintaining a dwelling to store controlled substances and possession of up to 0.5 ounces of marijuana. McDaniel was placed into custody and given a $25,000 bond.
Kentrell Lamar Coleman, 41, was arrested on outstanding state arrest warrants for assault on a female and communicating threats. Coleman was placed into custody without bond.
