CONCORD — West Rowan’s boys and girls wrestling teams finished off regular-season championships this week.

West Rowan’s boys, coached by John Brown, won 77-0 against Concord and 84-0 against Northwest Cabarrus.

West Rowan’s girls, coached by Tim Pangburn, had a 51-0 win against Concord and a 54-0 win against Northwest.

Coming up are a couple of major events on Saturday, Jan. 20 — the South Piedmont Conference Tournament hosted by Robinson and the Carolina Women’s Showcase at Lake Norman.

Brackets for the dual team state playoffs will be released on Jan. 25.

The first two rounds of the dual team playoffs will be held on Jan. 27. The third round and regional round are scheduled for Jan. 31. Dual team state championships are set for Feb. 3.

The individual regionals for the girls will be held on Feb. 2-3. The individual regionals for the boys will be on Feb. 9-10.

The individual state championships will be held on Feb. 15-17.
