College men’s basketball: Cold shooting day on road for Blue Bears

RALEIGH — Livingstone’s men’s basketball team led at halftime at Shaw on Saturday, but shot 33 percent and took a 70-63 loss.

Livingstone was ahead 28-24 at the break, but Shaw had a 7-0 run early in the second half and grabbed control of the CIAA contest played in Spaulding Arena in front of 984 fans.

Fourteen men scored for the Blue Bears (7-10, 3-5), but Terry Williams, who got 10 points in nine minutes, was the high man.

DJ Thomas scored 19 for Shaw (9-7, 5-3). Jamari Roberts had 13 rebounds.
