SALISBURY — A Salisbury woman told police that her ex-boyfriend broke into her Kesler Road home and pointed a handgun at her while she slept.
According to a Salisbury Police report, the woman woke Saturday morning to find Wayne Allen Davis, 44, standing over her holding a semi-automatic handgun.
The man asked her where his shirt was before cocking the weapon and pointing it at her, an arrest report said.
The woman told him the shirt was at his mother’s house, but the man became upset and chased her and her 6-year-old daughter from the home.
They ran to her mother’s house where they called police.
Davis, of 905 Richard St., was charged with first-degree burglary, assault with a deadly weapon with a minor present and felony larceny after breaking and entering.
He was in jail Monday under a $70,000 bond.
Police said when they responded to the Kesler Road home between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m., the woman’s television was missing.
She told police, according to the report, that Davis had come to the house earlier that evening and was upset. She said she didn’t let him inside and asked him to leave.
Authorities said Davis entered the woman’s home through a window after pushing a spare tire against the house.
Officers said he later stole a 46-inch flat screen television after the woman and her daughter fled.
