Kirk elected chair of energy coalition committee

Phil Kirk, native of Salisbury, has been elected chair of the legislative committee for the Energy Services Coalition. The ESC is a statewide organization composed of the Energy Services Companies licensed to do business in North Carolina, governmental officials who are involved with energy issues, as well as other companies and individuals.
Kirk is the Director of Brady Energy Services, a 50-year-old company which provides energy solutions to commercial, educational, and industrial customers across North Carolina. Corporate headquarters is located in Greensboro; however, Kirk works out of the Raleigh office. He is involved in new business development, public relations, community relations, and governmental relations, in addition to chairing the 50th anniversary committee of the founding of Brady.
He has also recently been reappointed to the education committee of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce. This committee provides information to the members of the chamber on educational issues affecting public schools, community colleges, and public and private colleges and universities. Kirk is Chairman Emeritus of the State Board of Education and a former teacher at Knox Middle School and Salisbury High School.
