In Salisbury Police Department reports:
- A hit and run causing property damage occurred in the 900 block of Park Avenue at 9:21 a.m. on March 12.
- Fraud by false pretenses occurred in the 100 block of Woodson Street between 10:08 a.m. on Aug. 1, 2023 and 10:07 a.m. on March 12. The total estimated loss was $2,825.
- A larceny of a bicycle occurred in the 900 block of Green Street between 9:30 a.m. on March 11 and 11:17 a.m. on March 12. The total estimated loss was $100.
- Vandalism occurred in the 400 block of Park Avenue between 7:30 p.m. on March 11 and 1:23 p.m. on March 12.
- A hit and run causing injury occurred in the 900 block of Old Concord Road at 3:10 p.m. on March 12.
- A burglary occurred in the 100 block of South Jackson Street between 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on March 12. A police spokesperson said that officers were called to the location because the door to the bell tower in the Bell Tower Green was open. There, they found two juveniles had broken in. Nothing was stolen or damaged.
- A larceny of automobile accessories occurred in the 100 block of East C Avenue between 8 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. on March 12. The total estimated loss was $50.
- A theft of a motor vehicle occurred in the 400 block of Lash Drive between 12:30 a.m. and 5:03 a.m. on March 13.
In Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports:
- Littering or trash dumping occurred at Zeb Street at 12:53 p.m. on March 11.
- A burglary occurred at Old Mocksville Road between 6:30 p.m. on March 10 and 9 a.m. on March 11.
- An assault occurred in the 1100 block of Peeler Road at 7 p.m. on March 11.
- Steven Lee Driggers, 51, was charged with driving without an operator’s license and displaying a fictitious tag or license plate on March 11.
- Christopher Seth Shaw, 33, was charged with injury to personal property, a crime of domestic violence, assault on a female and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon while a minor was present on March 11.
- Keshawn O’Brian Hargrave, 29, was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon on March 11.
- Sherman William Moss, 58, was charged with affray by fighting and a violation of a domestic violence protective order on March 11.
- Jermiah James Phifer, 21, was charged with affray by fighting on March 11.
- Carolyn Elizabeth Chawlk, 55, was charged with simple assault on March 11.
