Moore’s Chapel AME Zion celebrates Women’s History Month

SALISBURY — The Christian Education Department of Moore’s Chapel AME Zion Church will observe Women’s History Month on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the church’s fellowship hall of the church.
The guest speaker is motivational speaker and author, Tamara O. Buchanan-Martin. She will incorporate the national theme and present “Recognizing the Queen in Me: Women Advocating for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.”
Buchanan-Martin is a native of Farrell, Pennsylvania, and currently lives in Salisbury. She is a graduate of Livingstone College where she received a BA in psychology and MBA in human resources from Columbia Southern University. She is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. and is an advance medical specialist assistant for the VA Medical Center in Kernersville. She is a foster mother to a 10-month-old daughter, Ashland.
Rev. Robert N. Kelley Jr., is the pastor. The church is located at 500 Partee Street, Salisbury.
