SALISBURY — Travelers on Salisbury’s greenway should be advised of a repair on the Grant’s Creek Bridge that will inhibit passage until completion.

The bridge is near Hogan’s Valley Way in the Revival Golf Course at the Crescent and Forestdale Drive.

The Salisbury Parks and Recreation Facebook page announced on Monday that the project was officially underway. Members of the city’s public works department were reportedly replacing the decking on the bridge.

Salisbury Transportation Director Wendy Brindle indicated that the damage on the bridge, which was put in with the original trail, was attributed to wear and tear over time and not a larger safety issue.

The bridge will remain closed until repairs are complete. The projected is anticipated to take 1-2 weeks.
